Biography

I’ve always been intrigued by the complexities of biochemistry and the fascinating realm of microbiology, and I earned my degree in biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. During my time at UCSB, I immersed myself in courses including microbiology, biochemistry, and ecology. I also got hands-on experience with lab equipment such as Western blot and qRT-PCR machines.

I have an insatiable curiosity for cutting-edge fields like machine learning and artificial intelligence, with applications ranging from discovering new medicines to decoding our genetic makeup and improving our environment. 

In my tutoring approach, I aim to make science engaging and understandable. I use my personal experiences to share practical applications and exciting potential research with students, as I believe students learn best when they understand why the material matters in our lives. I’m known for my patience, friendliness, and commitment to helping students thrive. I’m here to make learning a delightful journey and to empower students to unlock their full potential, whether in biology or chemistry.

Outside of the academic realm, I played on the UCSB golf team, and golf remains a true passion of mine.
