Academic and Test Prep Tutor

Biography

As a graduate of Computer Science and Communications from Santa Clara University, I am passionate about teaching and the power of learning. I have always been driven by a love for reading and a desire to understand the world. My fluency in English, proficiency at a C1 level in Spanish, and intermediate skill in Arabic at a B2 level have allowed me to engage with a diverse range of communities.

Having three younger siblings has also shaped my perspective on education, making me aware of the importance of having a supportive learning environment. As a child, I loved playing teacher with my siblings and thought it was  incredibly fun. I feel immensely lucky that I can work with students in my adult life, and I strive to make my tutoring sessions just as engaging as the play sessions I had with my siblings.

I believe that teaching is about both spreading knowledge and guiding students to discover their strengths and interests. I aim to create an environment where students feel both challenged and encouraged. In college, I was a member of multiple clubs and teams that helped me find belonging and support. I hope to give my students that same sense of community. We’re on the same side of helping them achieve their best!

When I’m not teaching, you can find me reading, spending time with my family/friends, or enjoying outdoor activities like snowboarding. I love team activities and interacting with other people.

Happy Parents and Students

"Everything was great- communication with the office, flexibility in scheduling make-up sessions, and, of course, the actual teaching itself. "
