Biography

I have lived in the Bay Area my whole life, and I received my undergraduate degree in neurobiology, physiology, and behavior at UC Davis. I am passionate about the sciences and health-related topics, and I love sharing my enthusiasm with my students!

I enjoy witnessing my student finally understand a subject they have been struggling with. Because I have always been the type of person who asks a million questions, I always encourage my students to ask as many questions as it takes until they understand what they want to know. I also use leading questions as a way to guide my students through the logic of a problem and to explore and expand what they already know.

Chemistry and biology both pose unique challenges to students, and I patiently work with my students to identify the source of their frustration and create a path forward. For some students, this includes covering study skills and test-taking strategies. For others, it means varying explanations until we find the approach to the material that clicks for that student. I know from personal experience the value of hard work and discipline and how far they can take you, and I believe in both instilling these traits in students and helping students de-stress and learn how to love to learn.

I am currently working towards my master’s in medical physiology at Case Western Reserve. In my free time, I love to hike, play with my cat, play soccer, and cook new dishes!
