Janice Yang

Biography

I love school. I love learning. My goal is to bring my students into that same mindset.

Born and raised in the Bay Area, I am intimately acquainted with the academic culture here. I graduated from Saratoga High School in 2019, and most of the teachers I had then still teach there today! Having been through the exact curriculum that my students will be going through is a strong advantage I feel like I bring to my tutoring. I went on to graduate from Cornell University with a B.S. in biological sciences and subsequently worked as a STEM educator for the 49ers Foundation, reaching students from all over California.

Some people say, “work smarter, not harder.” I actually believe the smartest way to work is by finding the excitement and fire that makes you want to work harder. I know the education in this area can be intense, stressful, and overwhelming. I also know it doesn’t always have to be! I am always excited to work personally with my students to help them find their confidence in school and passion for learning.

On my days off, I like to hang out with my friends and family, play board games, run, shop, and try new things!
