Biography

I embarked on my academic journey with a passion for math, physics, chemistry, biology, and computer science. Exploring a variety of topics landed me with an insatiable curiosity for the intersections of biology and computer science and led me to my chosen field of computational biology. I graduated from UC Berkeley with a major in bioengineering and a minor in computer science.

While in high school and college, I worked at Best In Class Education Center as a math and science tutor for K-12 students. In my four years working there, I discovered the joy of guiding students in their academic journey by fostering their interest in learning to be as strong as mine. I’m dedicated to helping students unlock their potential, and I have enjoyed everything from unraveling the complexities of college-level science to aiding K-8 students in mastering fundamental skills. At AJ Tutoring, I apply the variety of strategies I’ve learned to support high school students in their science coursework, and I find immense joy in witnessing students’ academic growth and building confidence in their abilities.

During winter time, I often go to Tahoe for skiing, and in my free time I watch movies and TV and play video games.
