Biography

I am a dedicated tutor with nearly a decade of experience providing personalized, one-on-one support to K-12 students in a variety of subjects, including middle school math, algebra, pre-calculus, statistics, biology, English, and history. I also have prior experience in college admissions preparation, offering guidance on essay writing, interview skills, and scholarship research.

I began tutoring in 2015, working with students at the Kumon Math and Reading Program, where they first discovered a passion for helping students unlock their academic potential. Since then, I have cultivated a tutoring approach that is student-centered, aiming to meet each student where they are and tailor lessons to their individual needs.

In addition to tutoring, my professional background as a Study Facilitator in the biomedical engineering field reflects a strong commitment to research and education. Managing teams of researchers and medical professionals, I ensured clinical studies were executed with precision, while also communicating complex information in a clear and accessible way to participants and stakeholders alike.

My teaching philosophy revolves around empowering students through understanding and self-confidence. “I believe every student can achieve greatness when they are given the tools and encouragement they need. My goal is to help students build a strong foundation, not just for the subject at hand, but for future learning as well.” This belief, combined with a calm and supportive teaching style, allows me to connect with students and help them succeed in their academic journeys.
