Biography

I was born and raised in Mexico City, where I earned my B.S. in Chemistry and M.Sc. in Chemical Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). I later pursued a Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, Spain, graduating summa cum laude. My academic journey, spanning international research
and education, has provided me with strong foundations in the life sciences and a deep commitment to fostering intellectual curiosity and perseverance.

As a science professional, I bring over 15 years of experience in biomedical research and teaching. Throughout my career, I have taught various topics in Chemistry as an Adjunct Lecturer at several universities and recently worked with high school students in Los Angeles, addressing academic gaps in math and science. My teaching philosophy centers on active learning and adaptability, making complex topics accessible through customized sessions that cater to each student’s unique strengths and needs.

My extensive research background in translational sciences enhances my ability to provide students with real-world applications of the subjects they study. At AJ Tutoring, I draw from this professional expertise to guide students through challenging concepts, helping them develop problem-solving skills essential for success in both standardized tests and academic coursework. With the resources and collaborative environment at AJ Tutoring, I am committed to helping students reach their full potential.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, scuba diving, and appreciating art.
