Biography

I have always enjoyed the satisfaction of working through a difficult science or math problem to arrive at the correct answer. This contributed to my enjoyment of technical classes throughout my years as a student. I found that in high school, my favorite classes were anatomy and physics, which is part of what led me to major in Biomechanical Engineering at Stanford.

In college, I had the privilege of taking classes from some truly extraordinary professors and relished the opportunity to learn from many gifted teaching assistants. I soon came to realize the importance of being able to speak fluently in math; a good explanation can make a difficult concept seem easy to grasp. I want to help high school students in the same way that my TA’s and professors aided me, passing on repeatable methods for approaching difficult problems so that students can gain confidence in their abilities. I know firsthand how confusing math and physics concepts can be without a methodical, diligent approach, which is why I believe that consistency and attention to detail are both key to the success in understanding these subjects.

At AJ Tutoring, I enjoy running the physics department. In my free time, I love to play board games with friends and family, ski, play piano, and read. I am passionate about health and maintaining a balanced lifestyle. I know that high school can be stressful and I encourage students to prioritize sleep, mental health and physical well-being during this challenging time and throughout the rest of their lives.
