Biography

I was born and raised in Redwood City in the heart of the Bay Area. From a young age, I was particularly engaged in my science and math courses, which developed into a combined interest in medicine and engineering and ultimately led me to major in biomedical engineering at Vanderbilt University as a pre-medical student.

Over the years, some of my greatest mentors and advisors have been the teachers, professors, and academic leaders around me. Their experience, advice, and investment in my academic development not only allowed me to succeed in my school, research, and professional endeavors, but also helped me understand the scholastic approach that I find most engaging and impactful. With this foundation of support and guidance, I’ve come to appreciate the value of personalized, 1-on-1 mentorship in shaping academic success. These experiences inspired me to become a tutor and to pay forward the support and environment that contributed to my growth as a student.

Through my own studies, I learned the importance of approaching studying with a strategic and balanced game plan, and I found that immersing myself in the material and seeking enjoyment in learning not only kept me motivated but also set me up for long-term success. As a tutor, I aim to help each student develop their own connection to the material, guiding them to not only excel in their academic pursuits, but also to retain their knowledge and discover what excites them about the subject matter. My goal is to help students find joy in the process and ignite a passion for learning that extends beyond their courses and exam.

Driven by my passion for both medicine and engineering, I find particular joy in tutoring related subjects such as chemistry and physics. My fascination with these subjects stems from their practical applications and the constant advancements in medical technology. Through tutoring, I aim to help students not only understand these complex topics, but also appreciate their real-world relevance.

Outside of tutoring, I embrace a very active lifestyle, have a passion for cooking and developing my culinary skills, and love to spend free time hiking, camping, and exploring the California wilderness.
