WASC Grants Cypress College Prep Accreditation as a Private School
MENLO PARK, CA – July 2, 2024—Cypress College Prep (CCP) is proud to announce that it has been awarded accreditation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) for students in grades 6-12. This milestone marks a new chapter in CCP’s commitment to providing local students with a personalized, inclusive, and flexible educational experience.
How Did Cypress College Prep Accreditation Come About?
Aaron Andrikopoulos and Joe Niederman founded Cypress College Prep in 2022. For the past 2 years, CCP has been the home of several full and part-time students. Aaron and Joe, friends since first grade at Walter Hays Elementary in Palo Alto, have dedicated their careers to creating a supportive and effective learning environment for students. Their work together began with the establishment of AJ Tutoring, the Bay Area’s premier test prep tutoring and academic tutoring, and college counseling group. They are now bringing their 40+ years of combined educational experience to CCP to make a it premium Bay Area private school.
Aaron and Joe’s vision for Cypress College Prep grow out of a desire to expand the high-quality, personalized educational support that AJ Tutoring is known for. “After seeing almost two decades worth of students’ long-term academic results with AJ Tutoring and an increasing demand for accredited high school courses, we wanted to create a holistic option for students,” said Aaron Andrikopoulos, co-founder of CCP.
