Goals:

  • Learn and understand how to use at least 5 different note-taking styles
  • Assess which style works best for the student in various courses
  • Practice the note-taking style that works best for the student so s/he has a mastery of the most effective style

Course Description:

Students will learn and practice note-taking styles, such as outline notes, map notes, chart notes, and Cornell notes. All styles will be demonstrated for various academic courses.

After all the styles are taught, the tutor will work with the student to assess which style works best for the student in various courses and help the student master that note-taking style. Your student will leave this course feeling confident in his or her note-taking abilities.
