Goals:

Introduce students to key concepts tested in AP Chemistry courses

Acquaint students with the question styles, grading standards, and pacing of the AP exams

Course Description:

The AP Chemistry exam was revamped recently in 2014, and AJ Tutoring has stayed on top of these changes. College Board has organized AP Chemistry concepts into 6 Big Ideas: Structure and Matter, Bonding and Intermolecular Forces, Chemical Reactions, Kinetics, Thermodynamics, and Chemical Equilibrium.

Our summer program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation from which to approach this college-level chemistry course. In session, students will review the chemistry they learned in previous years and then look ahead to the major concepts covered in AP curricula. We emphasize problem-solving and an understanding of how individual chemistry concepts are connected in the bigger picture. Students will apply these ideas to practice problems to solidify their understanding, and AJ Tutoring will provide all material necessary.
