Courtney Liang

Weekend Receptionist

Biography

My passion for mentorship and problem-solving truly solidified through my experiences as a youth counselor at a summer camp and later as an academic peer advisor during my undergraduate years. These roles taught me the importance of guidance, adaptability, and personalized learning—values that carried over into my work at various tutoring centers. I’ve always believed that learning extends beyond the classroom, and helping others grow and succeed has been a driving force in my journey.

I was born and raised in the Bay Area and attended UC Santa Cruz, where I studied business management economics and IT management. My academic and extracurricular experiences shaped my ability to navigate complex challenges, think critically, and support others in their learning journeys.

In my role as a receptionist, I’ve had the opportunity to refine my communication skills, juggle multiple tasks under pressure, and, most importantly, create a warm and welcoming environment for both clients and colleagues. As the first point of contact, I love being able to make a positive first impression, help visitors feel at ease, and assist with their needs. Handling a wide range of inquiries has strengthened my problem-solving abilities and deepened my appreciation for the power of professionalism and empathy in every interaction. It’s truly rewarding to connect with AJ’s amazing clients and be part of making their experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

In addition to my work at AJ, I also work as a Technology Consultant at a large business consulting firm, where I help clients find innovative solutions to their technological and operational needs.

Outside of work, I love taking Pilates and hot yoga sculpt classes, exploring new restaurants, and traveling. Each experience, whether discovering a new cuisine or immersing myself in a different culture, fuels my curiosity and passion for continuous learning.
