Biography

My desire to understand the world has been a personal obsession. The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don’t know. This has always fueled me to push my understanding further. I pursued a Physics undergraduate degree at the University of Washington, Seattle Campus. During my undergraduate studies, I tutored other students and participated in a teaching experiment focused on helping more freshmen succeed in introductory physics courses. After my graduation I tutored high school students in Math, Physics, and Biology. Around that time, I discovered the field of Machine Learning, which led me to return to school. I have since finished my Masters in Data Science at Southern Methodist University and am eager to return to tutoring.

The reality of teaching in a classroom is that not every student can be given the attention they need to grasp a certain subject or deeply explore their curiosity. Tutoring provides an opportunity to engage with a student and provide a personalized experience. During my sessions, I focus on exploring the students’ thought process as they go from question to answer.

In my free time, I enjoy exploring hobbies out of my normal interests. Recently, I dove into the world of crochet. In the future, I plan to enter the adrenaline-packed world of sword fighting, a forgotten art in our modern world.
