Biography

I am a Bay Area native and aspiring medical student! I graduated from Irvington high school, and completed my undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry at University of San Francisco. During Covid, I realized that I wanted a change and moved to New York to pursue my masters in biomedical sciences at New York medical College. My journey and tutoring began as a teachers assistant for my undergraduate chemistry class, and then grew to volunteering at a nonprofit tutoring center based in San Francisco. These experiences led me to love teaching and working with students.

Over the past five years, I have tutored students in biology and chemistry, as well as teaching ACT/SAT bootcamps with various testing centers throughout the Bay Area as well as New York. With my students I like to connect with them on a personal level, making them feel heard and understood. The sciences were hard for me when I was initially taking classes, myself, and I aim to teach students learning and test taking strategies to help them feel confident in their learning abilities as well as the content of their classes.
