Biography

From a young age, I’ve been captivated by the wonders of our world, always asking questions like: How do rainbows display their vibrant colors? What fuels the sun’s unending light? Why do tides ebb and flow? What drives the formation of hurricanes?

This curiosity led me to pursue a degree in physics at NYU Tandon, where I immersed myself in both theoretical concepts and hands-on problem-solving. During this journey, I uncovered the profound connection between physics and mathematics, recognizing how their synergy forms a powerful toolkit for understanding and predicting the physical systems that shape our universe.

While studying, I had the opportunity to tutor younger peers and found their struggles relatable. We often excelled at performing calculations but struggled to identify the right equations to apply. This gap in understanding underscored the importance of grasping concepts deeply. I discovered that explaining these ideas to others not only reinforced my own comprehension but also helped my students organize their thoughts into a coherent structure. Many found this approach especially beneficial.

After earning my degree, I returned to California with a commitment to nurture a passion for physics and math in my students. I feel so fortunate that I was able to pursue a career in teaching. At AJ, I aim to guide my pupils through the challenges I once faced, building a strong foundation in physics concepts and developing a resilient problem-solving mindset.

Outside the classroom, you can often find me playing badminton or practicing Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA).
