Biography

I’m a Bay Area native, born and raised in the Peninsula, and I attended college at Santa Clara University where I double majored in Arabic, Islamic, and Middle Eastern studies and German studies and graduated summa cum laude. After graduating, I spent time working in the private sector before getting my master’s at King’s College London in international relations.

I found my passion for tutoring while working as a teaching assistant during my undergrad. In my approach to teaching, I center my philosophy around the idea that each student is a unique individual with distinct learning styles and perspectives. As an educator, my main objective is to foster a genuine interest in learning by tailoring my methods to meet the specific needs and interests of each student.

At AJ Tutoring, I focus on assisting K-8 students in foundational subjects like math, reading, and writing, and my priority is on cultivating essential skills for their academic journey. Whether preparing for standardized tests or mastering core academics, my goal is to instill confidence in students, enabling them to appreciate the learning process and effectively prepare for future academic pursuits.

Beyond education, I am deeply passionate about travel, culture, and language.
