Nutrition and Wellness for College First-Years

Goals:

  • Learn how to find healthy, delicious, and affordable foods at the grocery store, the school cafeteria, or at restaurants
  • Manage your time (and your budget!) for shopping, cooking, exercise, and stress-reducing activities
  • Create convenient meal plans that feature meals you can make with just a microwave or limited set of cooking appliances

Course Description:

The first year of college is often the first time students experience a big leap in adult responsibility, and while this newfound independence can be exciting, it can also lead to stress and uncertainty as they figure out how best to take care of themselves. Consider this course a fun graduation gift for your high school senior looking ahead to college!

Taught by a certified Holistic Nutritionist with a wealth of knowledge, recipes, and tips to share, this course takes a deep dive into how to plan for nutrition and wellness in college. Students receive individualized guidance and support with each lesson and learn a variety of fun facts they can share with friends and family. By the end of this course, students will know how to develop the life skills necessary to maintain their health and happiness while away at school.
