Goals:

Learn note-taking and study skills for college-level courses
Develop foundational knowledge on nutrition and how to maintain a balanced enough diet to combat the “Freshman 15”
Learn how to balance extracurriculars while maintaining good grades
Understand the opportunities and resources to take advantage of to enhance the college experience
Develop networking skills useful to set up a bright future beyond college!

Course Description:

This course is designed to prepare recently graduated high school students to maximize their experiences upon entering college. Through developing skills in note-taking and studying, students will acquire the skills necessary to maintain good grades and fend off procrastination temptations. The importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle with proper nutrition and exercise will be covered, as these are key factors in academic success. Additionally, we will discuss various opportunities for networking, growth and success throughout and beyond college. These opportunities include teaching assistant positions, research assistant positions, studying abroad, fellowships, jobs, and more!
